Black Light 400W GES UV Lamp (G008CD)

400W GES Fitting/UV Lamp. Black Light for various theatrical and special effects uses. Ultra Violet Lamps and Tubes are often know as Black Lights or in the trade as "blacklight blue" or "BLB", there common use is in discos, theatres, and other such places. These lamps are much larger that the standard size light bulb and with the special coating that produces a deep purple light and large amounts of Ultra Violet light. This invisible light is reflected back in the visible spectrum by fluorescent materials and dyes. White clothes glow brightly in the dark, fluorescent paints brilliantly light up! Rated at 400W, 240V GES 39-40mm (edison screw) base.

This is a high pressure mercury lamp using "Woods Glass" to give a black light blue output. The lamp must be used with suitable ballast compatible with any regulations set down by governmental or local authorities. For more details about the required UV lamp housing please (CLICK HERE)

Important: Do not touch, scratch or apply pressure to the lamp as this may cause damage. When replacing the lamp the power to the fitting must be turned off. Make sure the lamp has cooled down before handling. Please ensure the lamp is protected against contact with water/ fluids otherwise lamp may smash. Also keep lamp away from any flammable or corrosive goods and the fitting should not be subject to vibration or shock. The lamp should not be used in freezing conditions and the fitting must have a front shield and mesh to comply with current UK regulations.
