was established back in 1990 by husband and wife Nigel & Elaine Gregory. They both realised that the domestic & corporate video production industry was quickly becoming saturated with a “have a go” public sector. The wedding industry which Magic Moments Video commanded above and beyond the competition was also reducing rapidly. The company realised that the corporate video presentations they produced where quite often used in conferences, meetings & seminars, then came one day in 1989, when an event unfolded which was to turn Magic Moments upside down.
A client had arranged for a AV company to produce a show. However at the last minute the company was notified that a seizure of the AV companies assets had taken place and that the event could not continue. The unfortunate company contacted Nigel and asked if there was anything he could do. Rising to the challenge Nigel & Elaine contacted various people and saved the day. This was to mark the start of Gregory Audio Visual Equipment Hire Service
Nigel & Elaine realised that there was enough business in their area to create a company dedicated to Audio Visual Presentations and Gregory Audio Visual quickly established itself in North West Lancashire.
In 1991 Gregory Audio Visual purchased the highly respected audio visual hire company A.V.I.P. (Audio Visual Impact Presentations) and soon after acquired its sister company A.G.S.
In 1995 Gregory AV moved into a second premises to cater for the demand in retail sales. With a unit, a digital video production facility along with a recently opened multimedia showroom Gregory AV is now one of the best AV businesses in Lancashire.
To date: Gregory AV has acquired yet another premises around the corner from their shop and showroom in Mill Hill. This site is 5 times larger than the current location in New Chapel St and will allow Gregory Audio Visual to expand further. A trade and retail counter along with newly fitted showroom with the very latest multimedia equipment are planned for this exciting acquisition. It is hoped that Gregory Audio Visual will be moving into the new site in May-June 2002. (News update) Contracts have been signed and Gregory Audio Visual will move to the new premises in June 2002.
