“AFTER THE DUST” by Hughie Woods. A movie filmed and produced in the 1980’s, covering the construction of the M65 Motorway. The movie commissioned with the help of Sir Alfred McAlpines, Faircloughs Construction and the Department of Transport gives an accurate record and understanding of the construction and creation of the M65 Motorway during Phase 1. This amateur movie was filmed and produced by Cine Film Enthusiast Hughie Woods, a dedicated family man with a love of making movies. As a member of the Accrington Cine Film Club he spent many hours painstakingly filming, editing and narrating his productions. Making movies using cine film required time, dedication & patience. It should be remembered that in the days when cine movies were produced there were no computers to create any effects. This DVD offers you an insight into the way amateur movies were produced along with interesting historical footage of places and people filmed in the 1980’s. HOW WE DO IT! The DVD presentation has been converted from a 8mm Cine Film. Sometimes the footage contains original sound recordings. Using a single reflex mirror and a diffused glass panel the projected image was captured at 24 frames per second on a Sony 3CCD Digital Video Camera. After capture the footage was enhanced edited using professional computer software. The edited footage was then transfered to a high quality DVD-R Discs. We recommend that you dim the lights when watching the movie in order to get the better conditions.
